Enhance Your Massage . . .

Your Massage Therapist has received training in multiple areas of therapy and may use several modalities during your treatment session. Below is a list of common massage therapy modalities that your therapist may incorporate.
Deep tissue massage is a technique that employs slow, deliberate pressure and deep strokes to alleviate tension in the muscles and connective tissues. Its aim is to realign the muscles and dissolve adhesions—bands of stiff tissue that can lead to pain, inflammation, and restricted movement. This type of massage is effective for treating various conditions, such as chronic pain, sports injuries, repetitive strain injuries like carpal tunnel syndrome, postural issues, osteoarthritis pain, and sciatica.
The Swedish massage, renowned for its gentle yet effective techniques, is a popular choice for those seeking relaxation. It employs a range of light to firm pressures to enhance tissue circulation, fostering a sense of relaxation and contributing to overall health and wellness.
Myofascial pain typically stems from "trigger points" in the myofascial tissue. These stiff areas can limit muscle and joint movement. Myofascial Release (MFR) therapy involves hands-on techniques to soothe, stretch, and reposition the fascia. Therapists may relieve trigger point tension, massage and elongate stiff regions, and alleviate overall pressure and tightness.
Cupping therapy is a healing modality that employs a vacuum created under a small cup placed on the skin. This method concentrates on enhancing blood flow and healing elements in a targeted region, boosting metabolic processes, fortifying immune response, and balancing blood chemistry.
Aromatherapy is a unique form of therapy that integrates the use of fragrant essential oils into a massage. This technique combines soft and firmer pressure while utilizing a special mix of essential oils. These oils are carefully diluted prior to application and are commonly used in conjunction with a complementary modality to enhance the massage experience.
A hot stone massage is an indulgent therapy that employs smooth, heated stones to deliver soothing warmth and relax the muscles. They might use the stones to mimic their hands, exerting gentle pressure and moving the stones over your muscles.
Hot Towels may be applied to the back to warm and aid in decreasing stiffness.
This synergy of heat and pressure works wonders in softening muscle rigidity, boosting circulation, and tranquilizing the mind.

I do not take weekend appointments.
Appointments times will be scheduled on Monday - Friday, between 9:30 and 4:30.
Please expect to wait 2-3 weeks for an available appointment time.
No, appointments must be made by the person receiving the massage. This cuts down on no-shows and people feeling obligated to receive therapy they are uncomfortable with.
If you would like to give the gift of massage, please inquire about Gift Certificates.
(please note that gift certificates are based on appointment availability.)
Absolutely! Please notify the therapist of any areas you would like focused on, or you would prefer to skip (...feet, face.) This is YOUR massage and it only benefits you to communicate.
At this time, 90 minute massages are unavailable because of high appointment volume. Please check back soon.
